Thomas J. Stanford, 38, was arrested on Monday, June 10, by Long Beach Police during an ongoing investigation on an unrelated matter, said the Long Beach Police Department.

"During the course of this ongoing investigation a search warrant for Stanford’s cellular telephone was obtained and the Long Beach Police Technical Assistance Response Unit (TARU) recovered thousands of pornographic images and videos, many of which appear to depict children less than sixteen years old," police said.

Stanford, whose hack license was revoked, was charged with five counts of possession of sexual performance by a child younger than 16 years old, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
